Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) is located in the constellation Cassiopeia, and has a unique shape due to a strong stellar wind from a young, massive star expanding into a molecular cloud causing it to glow. The narrowband wavelengths (Hydrogen-alpha especially) require more time for exposure but reveal more detail than broader Red, Green and Blue filters. The image is composed of 25 hours of narrowband exposure and 45min of RGB obtained through the RASC (Royal Astronomical Society of Canada) and is processsed at JAC using free GIMP software, with calibratation to account for equipment noise.
