Students Helping Students
An example of a student project conducted as part of an advanced ESL course. The "Students Helping Students", project housed in the Profweb Personal Space profits from students' knowledge of English by challenging them to build learning objects of their own. These achievements become academic resources for their peers at less advanced levels. Based on the precept of Seneca, "Qui discit Docet" (Those who teach learn) the activity benefits from the knowledge and skills developed by students as part of their curriculum. Students learn through teaching, explains Lisa Deguire, a teacher at Cégep de Jonquière.
