Self-Portrait

I'm not really a photogenic person. If anything, I'm very shy and would rather be behind the camera than in front of it. I decided that I should try to get out of my comfort zone and try something new. I was too nervous to ask any of my friends to come with me to control the camera, so I used a wireless receiver and delayed shutter which gave me 10 seconds to combine two of my main passions: road cycling, and fashion.

I decided to pose with my bike which is one of my closest and most prized possessions. I had saved up a lot of money to buy myself new race bike and was very lucky to find a very rare Wilier for sale for an amazing price. When I first saw the bike, I fell in love. Red is my favorite colour, so I decided that I would do a little coordination with my outfit. The shoes are another one of my most prized possessions. They're a rare pair of Nike SB dunk lows that were made in collaboration with the clothing brand Supreme. They were released in 2012 and are almost impossible to come by in perfect condition for any price under $800.

I feel that getting this bike was meant to be. Its exposed carbon mixed with my favorite colour was a dream come true. The "pose" in the picture is just natural, I'm just looking in awe at my bike and how amazing it is. I've ridden this bike over tens of thousands of kilometers, tens of races and have even had a few major crashes with it. Even during those crashes, it did not suffer a scratch, something almost impossible for a full carbon road bike.
