Away from the light pollution of the city, many stars make their appearance leading to a spectacular sky. This image was made with 320 different pictures taken with a 30 second shutter speed, seconds apart over the course of 4 hours. When merged together, the images create startrails because the earth spins as the stars stay in the same position. This view, otherwise impossible to see, demonstrated the beauty of the planet when looked at from a different perspective. If only Galileo had a camera to prove his theory that the earth was round!
